Sign with your mouse, trackpad, or finger, then download the result as a transparent PNG you can drop into a contract, an email footer, or a PDF. Pen colour and thickness are adjustable, and the export is cropped tight to the ink so there is no empty border to trim later. Nothing is uploaded — the drawing stays in your browser.

How it works

  1. 1
Draw your signature Sign inside the white box using a mouse, trackpad, or your finger on a touchscreen. A stylus or finger on a phone gives the most natural result.
  2. 2
Adjust the pen Pick a pen colour (black, dark blue, and dark red are the usual choices for documents) and set the thickness. Undo removes the last stroke if a letter goes wrong.
  3. 3
Download the file Choose a transparent or white background, then download a PNG for documents and email, or an SVG if you need a version that scales without blurring.

Your data stays private

All processing happens entirely in your browser. No files, text, or data are ever sent to our servers. You can disconnect from the internet and this tool will still work.

Frequently asked questions

Is the downloaded PNG really transparent?
Yes. With the background set to Transparent, only the ink is saved — the area around and between the strokes has an alpha of zero, so the signature sits cleanly on top of a contract or letterhead.
Is a signature drawn online legally valid?
In most cases yes. The US ESIGN Act and the EU eIDAS regulation both recognise electronic signatures, and a drawn signature counts as a simple electronic signature. Some documents — wills, property deeds, certain court filings — still require wet ink or a qualified certificate, so check the rules for your document type.
Do you store or see my signature?
No. The canvas, the export, and the download all run in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is sent to a server, so there is no copy of your signature anywhere but your own device.
How do I add the signature to a PDF or Word file?
Download the transparent PNG, then insert it as a picture. In Word use Insert → Pictures and set text wrapping to In Front of Text. For a PDF, the Sign PDF tools that accept an image work the same way.
Why does my signature look shaky?
A mouse is a poor pen. Draw slower and larger than feels natural, or sign on a phone or tablet with your finger — the strokes are smoothed automatically, and a bigger drawing means the smoothing has more to work with.
What is the resolution of the exported image?
The PNG is rendered at three times the on-screen size, so a signature drawn across the full pad comes out roughly 2000 px wide. That is sharp enough for printing at normal document sizes. The SVG is vector and stays sharp at any size.
